New York University, Steinhardt School NYU Steinhardt's B.M., M.M., and Ph.D. programs in Instrumental Performance develop your technique and artistry, preparing you for a professional career in ensemble, collaborative, and solo brass performance. All brass students study with renowned faculty through private lessons, participate in symphony orchestras, brass choirs, and other ensembles, and prepare for solo recital performances. Students are placed within the context of a great research university in the heart of New York City’s Greenwich Village, and are encouraged to pursue related interests and explore courses throughout the University. Pokorny Low Brass Seminar The Gene Pokorny Low Brass Seminar at the University of Redlands will expand this year to include the entire low brass section!!
Randall Hawes, bass trombonist with the Detroit Symphony will join Gene Pokorny, tubist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra for a week long seminar at the University of Redlands. This year the seminar will be held June 29 through July 3rd. We are accepting applications for performers and auditors on tuba, tenor and bass trombone and entire low brass sections. The number of performers is limited.
This is a fantastic opportunity to spend quality time with excellent musicians and find new inspiration.
