Dennis AsKew

Dennis AsKew has performed as a soloist throughout the United States, Europe and Australia. Currently serving as Past-President of the International Tuba/Euphonium Association, he came to The University of North Carolina at Greensboro as the tuba and euphonium professor in 1992 and became a member of the Market Street Brass Quintet. Under his direction, the UNCG TubaBand has performed at conferences worldwide. Originally from Georgia, AsKew holds the DMA degree from the University of Michigan, the master’s degree from Penn State University, and baccalaureate degrees from the University of Georgia. He was the host of the 2002 International Tuba/Euphonium Conference held at UNC Greensboro and is a former Associate Regent for Pi Kappa Lambda, the international honor society for musicians.
