Neal Corwell

Dr. Neal Corwell served as euphoniumist with "Pershing's Own", The US Army Band in Washington, DC, from 1981 to 1989. During those years, he was one of the Concert Band’s most popular soloists and was featured at many prestigious events and venues. After briefly serving as principal euphonium with the 257th Army National Guard Band (Washington, D.C.), Neal rejoined Pershing’s Own in 2002, this time as a member of the Ceremonial Band. During his years as a civilian, Dr. Corwell taught at Shepherd and Frostburg State Universities, served on the executive committee of ITEA and the board of the Women’s Brass Conference, and appeared as a Willson performing euphonium artist at numerous events overseas and across the United States. To date he has written over 50 published compositions, recorded several CDs featuring his arrangements and original works, and presented over 1,000 solo recitals.
