Pat Stuckemeyer

Pat Stuckemeyer is one of the leading voices in a new generation of musicians. At only 28 years old, his diverse career has taken him to a dozen countries and three continents. Originally from Indiana, Stuckemeyer holds degrees from the Conservatory of Music at Capital University, the University of Kansas, and the Royal Northern College of Music. Mr. Stuckemeyer credits his success to his formative teachers: K. Kim Fillingim, Dr. Thomas Zugger, Dr. Paul Droste, Scott Watson, and Steven Mead.

Pat is currently on the faculty of Mesa Community College in Mesa, AZ where he teaches applied lessons, brass pedagogy, and brass studio instruction. In addition to his teaching obligations, he is also completing his DMA at Arizona State University working closely with brass-legend, Sam Pilafian.

Aside from scholastic opportunities and requirements, Pat performs in a wide variety of ensembles encompassing almost every imaginable genre for the instrument. While in the United Kingdom, Pat performed with the Grimethorpe Colliery Brass Band, and was Solo Euphonium with the Besses o' Th' Barn Brass Band, the oldest brass band in the world. He has also performs with the Salt River Brass, the Fountain City Brass Band, Euphoniums Unlimited, and Symphonia – "A Supersonic Ensemble in the Alternate Clef."

Always trying to compliment the repertoire with new and inventive pieces, Stuckemeyer commissions works whenever possible. Many composers have written for the talents of Pat Stuckemeyer including: James Barnes, Jonathan Newman, Stephen Roberts, Peter Meechan, Noah D. Taylor, and Anthony Zilincik.

Pat Stuckemeyer is an artist and clinician for Besson/Buffet Crampon and performs solely on the Besson Prestige 2052-S euphonium. Pat is also an artist affiliate for Potenza Music and Potenza Music Publishing. His signature model mouthpiece, the PS-SOLO is available from Mike Finn Mouthpieces.
