University of Arkansas Tuba-Euphonium EnsembleThe University of Arkansas Tuba/Euphonium Ensemble, directed by Benjamin Pierce, performs each semester on campus in Fayetteville. The group performs a variety of repertoire ranging from renaissance and baroque to original compositions, and has commissioned new pieces and arrangements. The ensemble is made up of all tuba and euphonium playing music majors at the University of Arkansas, and is frequently broken into sub-groups for pieces utilizing smaller numbers. In addition to performing in Fayetteville, the U of A Tuba Ensemble has done run-out concerts in Arkansas and has appeared at several ITEA regional conferences. This is the group’s first ITEC appearance. |
