Laurie Veronie
SSG Lauren Veronie serves as euphoniumist with the United States Army Field Band in Washington, D.C. As a member of the Army’s premier touring ensemble, SSG Veronie travels and performs across the nation over 100 days each year, often featured as a soloist. She began her musical career in her hometown of Willis, Texas, going on to study euphonium at the University of North Texas with Dr. Brian L. Bowman. She graduated summa cum laude with her BM in euphonium performance in 2005 and went on to earn a MM with a related field of instrumental conducting in 2007. Prior to joining the Field Band, SSG Veronie recorded extensively with the North Texas Wind Symphony, performed with the Dallas Wind Symphony and the Houston Symphonic Band, and was an active soloist, chamber musician and teacher in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.
