Quartet Tuba XL
Quartet Tuba XL was established in 2002 as the first such ensemble of its kind Croatia. It consists of professional musicians who play in Croatian orchestras and who, in further developing the repertoire of their instrument and the public’s knowledge of the tuba, wanted willing to make those trends popular in Croatia as well. Since the tuba is primarily an orchestra instrument, it was our wish to demonstrate that it can equally be adapted to solo and chamber music playing. The ensemble's repertoire varies from classic masters such as Palestrina, Bach and Handel to jazz and excellent contemporary composers. Upon graduating from the Academy of Music, the musicians of the «XL» Quartet began collaborating with many of the most prominent wind players of today. Among these are R.Bobo, M.Culberston, L.Bazsinka, W.Hilingers, D.Perantoni, and others. The members of the Tuba Quartet XL are: Viktor Kirc?enkov, Robert Sturzenbaum, Krunoslav Babic?L and Jurica Rukljic. Treat your audiences to something very special.
