ITEC 2008 (Tuesday): Conference Host Tim Northcut pictured with Velvet Brown, following Velvet's performance of Peter Meechan's Episodes and Echoes with the Cincinnati Brass Band.  ITEC 2008 (Tuesday): Two performers from Tuesday night's concert, Jim Gourlay (UK) & Robert Childs (UK). Gourlay performed Bruce Fraser's Concerto (with the composer conducting) and Childs conducted three works with his son David as soloist.  ITEC 2008 (Tuesday): The first of two picnics for the week. Great food and great music provided by finalists in the tuba-euphonium quartet competition.  ITEC 2008 (Tuesday): The Mark Nelson Quartet (Kelly Thomas & Matt Tropman euphoniums and Mark Nelson & Don Harry tubas) opened tonight's concert with a premiere of Greetings! Fanfare by Walter Ross.  ITEC 2008 (Tuesday): Euphonium soloist David Childs (UK) pictured with Anita Cocker Hunt (conductor of the Cincinnati Brass Band). David performed several selections with father Robert conducting!  ITEC 2008 (Tuesday): Sérgio Carolino (Portugal) and Conference Host Tim Northcut (USA) following Carolino's virtuosic performance of jORGE sALGUEIRO's cONCERTO fOR tUBA.  ITEC 2008 (Wednesday): Dan Perantoni and Harvey Phillips in masterclass with ITEC Young Artist Winner Brandon Davis.  ITEC 2008 (Wednesday): L-R Josh Nemith (piano), Steven Mead, Caryl Conger (piano), and Jens-Björn Larsen following their afternoon recital. the Tubists Universal Brotherhood Association, ITEA is dedicated to promoting and advancing the tuba and euphonium instruments. The organization comprises
performers, educators, students, and amateurs of all backgrounds.
As a non-profit organization, it is supported by membership dues and donations.
