On our cover: John Griffiths (1948–2007) was one of the greatest and most innovative musicians the international tuba-euphonium community has been fortunate to know. His musicianship illustrated traits that remain unmatched, as was his dedication to education and pedagogy, and the continued evolvement of our instruments and ITEA since its inception. ITEA and the international music community as a whole will miss John Griffiths. Many thanks to Tom McCaslin for spearheading this issue’s cover article-tribute to this great man, teacher, performer, and friend. |
